The Challenger Division was established in 1989 as a separate division of Little League Baseball to enable boys and girls with physical and mental disabilities to enjoy the game of baseball along with the millions of other children who participate in this sport worldwide. South Little League Challenger Division is comprised of 5 teams and over 70 players and their families. Our league is truly a family experience as parents and family members get the opportunity to experience the children being cheered for their activity. Our players simply want uniforms, a chance to participate and to have fun.
Money raised during this event will help send players and families to the Virginia Beach International Challenger Jamboree. Many of the families in this great program could use your support so that they can take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. It is costly for families to attend this event especially as fuel prices increase the price of bus transportation. Many of our families face financial difficulty and it is difficult for them to make this trip. Please pledge so they can play.
